Employment Services Hosts National Recruiter

The Employment Services team rolled out the red carpet August 10 for CW Resources, a national recruiter that has hired a dozen participants from the Employment Services caseloads over the past few years. The employer partnership developed between Lighthouse Louisiana and CW Resources has led to ongoing employment opportunities at the Belle Chasse Naval Base Commissary. Mia Griffiths of CW Resources visited the New Orleans Lighthouse facility to meet the team and discuss support and accommodation needs that will enhance employee stability and eliminate barriers to employment retention.

“CW Resources has been very supportive over the years by maintaining the partnership with Lighthouse, hiring candidates seeking to increase their work and earnings, and ushering participants into a life filled with renewed hopes and dreams, which encourages participants to maintain employment,” said Natalie Harrison, CESP, Director of Employment Services. “We remain grateful for the opportunity to build on our successful partnership with CW Resources and the successful outcomes our participants achieve.”
Robert Trahan, Director of Vision Rehabilitation, and Scott Lawrence, Director of Production and Manufacturing, rounded out the visit with a brief overview of their departments and a behind-the-scenes tour.
