On Going Support

Lighthouse Louisiana accepts general support donations of any amount. General support donations are put into the general fund and used as needed.

Programs and services are supported through general donations. An example is the Daily Living Skills Program. This program teaches blind and visually impaired adults the skills they need to be successfully independent within their home environment. Some of the skills taught in these classes include money identification and folding, clothing identification and marking, food preparation, cane use for safe travel at home and in the community and many other necessary and important skills.
