Community Outreach Program

Three young students are blindfolded to participate in a pouring task. Each child is set up to demonstartae a different technique to include: placing a finger over the cups edge, floating a ping pong ball, and using a liquid level indicator. The Lighthouse for the Blind in New Orleans offers a variety of education and training opportunities to the general public.  Schedule a tour of our New Orleans campus to meet our friendly staff and observe our top notch programs.  Invite The Lighthouse to speak to your group about our services and opportunities for support.  We'll even provide training sessions to teach your students or staff about vision impairment and adaptations for independence.Three young students are blindfolded to participate in a pouring task.
