Supported Services

This employment option is provided for individuals who are interested in obtaining employment and have been assessed and are in need of intensive support to achieve success in competitive employment. In following Louisiana Rehabilitation Service's guidelines, the individual must be hired in a position working at least 20 hours per week, in an integrated setting, and earning at least minimum wage or greater. Once an individual is hired in a position, The Lighthouse employment staff provides intensive training and support to assist the individual to achieve maximum work performance and meet the employer's expectations. After the individual is working successfully in their position, Lighthouse employment staff then provides extended follow-along services for the duration of their employment. Extended follow-along services are on-going, as needed, support for the employer and requires contact with the employer and supported employee on a continuous basis.
