What is Supported Employment?
The primary focus of the Supported Employment program is to assist individuals with making the transition from unemployment to long-term successful employment. The program is a unique employment service that provides one-on-one, ongoing support in the competitive workforce to individuals with a disability.
- Work Readiness Training Program for the Deaf/Deaf-Blind or other disabilities
- Career/Vocational Assessment
- Job Search & Placement
- On-Site Job Coach Support
- Extended Follow-Along Service
Who pays for Supported Employment Services?
- These services are funded through State and Federal funding.
- There is “no cost” to employers or clients for these services.
How do I know if I am eligible for Supported Employment Services?
- If you have a disability please contact your local state vocational rehabilitation office.
How do Supported Employment Services benefit an employer?
- Provides pre-screened, qualified, and reliable employees at no cost.
- Employee training with continuous support by trained professionals at no cost.
- A diverse workforce.
